Welcome to Sail Royal Greenwich!

Sail Royal Greenwich 2013 successfull

Sail Royal Greenwich 2013, again a great success

After a successful inaugural event in 2012, the world’s finest Tall Ships returned to Greenwich last summer. The second edition of Sail Royal Greenwich took place from Wednesday August 28th until Sunday September 1st 2013, and again was a great success!

Spectacular cruises on the Thames

The impressive fleet of Tall Ships provided spectacular afternoon and evening cruises, for both corporate events, and public events. All guests were welcomed in the historic Royal Arsenal, where the Tall Ships are moored. This easy to reach location has a maritime history dating back to 1671. Once on board all guests could relax and enjoy the London sights from the best vantage point imaginable, the Thames.

Magnificient views

During summer of 2012 and 2013, the Royal Borough of Greenwich hosted Sail Royal Greenwich. This event was born out of the great maritime cultural history of Greenwich. Our fleet of Tall Ships made an impressive sight, plying a scenic route along the Thames, taking in many famous highlights of London. Sail Royal Greenwich offered many clients the opportunity to make a business statement to their guests aboard a beautiful Tall Ship, showcasing the best of what London can offer. It was a creative, carefully designed and unique event for London.

On leaving the Royal Arsenal Pier the ships sailed through the Thames Barrier, towards The O2 taking in the magnificent views of the Old Royal Naval College, the Cutty Sark and Canary Wharf, and passed the 0-meridian line. A variety of corporate hospitality packages and public packages were available differing in duration, program and sailing route. A limited number of special corporate cruises even passed through Tower Bridge.

This year

In 2014, the Sail Royal Greenwich event will be part of the the Tall Ship Regatta, involving up to 50 of the most spectacular tall ships in the world. Our event will take place from 4-9 September 2014. More information will be provided soon.
