Royal Greenwich set to welcome back Tall ShipsChris Roberts

The Royal Borough of Greenwich is thrilled this year to be looking forward to the biggest ever Tall Ships event in our history.

We’re delighted to be welcoming Sail Royal Greenwich back to our stunning waterfront this summer as part of London’s first major Tall Ships Regatta for 25 years.

The Royal Greenwich Tall Ships Regatta will see up to 50 of the world’s most magnificent vessels moored in the borough for a five-day spectacular.

There will also be an exciting programme of music, dance and family entertainment which will celebrate the cultural vibrancy of Royal Greenwich.

It promises to be an unforgettable five days as these historic ships sail past our world-famous maritime landmarks including the Old Royal Naval College and the Cutty Sark.

Setting sail on a tall ship at sea promises to be an adventure and we want to encourage as many people as possible to climb aboard and experience this ‘once in a lifetime’ opportunity. We are sure you will all thoroughly enjoy your time in Royal Greenwich – as one of London’s best-known destinations we have a host of attractions and activities for visitors and local people alike - so do take your time to find out what we have on offer here.

This is expected to be one of the biggest international sailing events London has seen and we very much look forward to seeing you in the Royal Borough of Greenwich in September 2014.
