A Historic Reception Venue
The former Royal Artillery Museum is the reception location at the beginning of the evening. At the time of Henry VIII, this building served as a Royal Dockyard before later becoming part of the Royal Arsenal. Once everybody is ready you will be accompanied to the Royal Arsenal Pier where you will board your Tall Ship. The friendly crew will give you a warm welcome, taking care of you and your party on board as you then cast off and set course upriver towards Maritime Greenwich. Near Greenwich the Parade of Sail will be formed. Your Tall Ship is part of the largest Tall Ships Parades ever seen on the Thames. There will be an official salute at the Cutty Sark. The Parade will pass Woolwich and end near Margaret Ness. Your Tall Ship will return to Royal Arsenal Pier.
A route full of highlights
Besides being part of the Parade, cruising on the Thames aboard one of the Tall Ships you will be delighted with stunning views of the sights of London, ideally positioned to soak up the sights and sounds of this capital city in full swing. During the cruise you will pass through the Thames Barrier, towards the Emirates Air-Line and the O2 Arena with fantastic views of Canary Wharf. The route continues past the Old Royal Naval College, the Royal Observatory, Greenwich Park and the Cutty Sark all in central riverside Greenwich. On route you will sail from the western to the eastern hemisphere and back, passing through the 0° Meridian.
During the cruise you will pass by the Tall Ships that will participate in the Parade of Sail. A spectacular experience, the highlight of the event.
At the end of the cruise your ship will return to Woolwich Royal Arsenal Pier.
